This Saturday, July 31st, The Movement LA, will be hosting a flash mob dance in Serra Park off Olvera St., across from Union Station, at 1:19pm sharp! We will be videotaping* this event to raise awareness about our non- profit organization’s message and to celebrate National Dance Day!
The Movement LA strives to empower disadvantaged, at- risk youth to creatively express themselves through the exploration of the art, music, dance and culture of House.
The freestyle dance flash mob will start at 1:19pm sharp, be there early if you like but don’t be late if you want to be on video! It will only last for one 7 minute long track so it’s very important to be prompt to be included in this event! Bring your smile, instruments and dancing shoes for this joyous event and worthy cause. Welcome! We hope to have you become a part of our flash mob DURING THE US OPEN OF SURFING on Saturday August 7th at 1:15pm in Huntington Beach, CA. Plan to meet a few minutes before on the corner of Main street & PCH in front of the Hurley store. Please arrive in a turquoise or blue shirt. The mob will join here and when the air-horn is blown we will all run across the street and onto the beach in a big mob where we will then play a game of tag. After a few minutes of non-stop running and playing tag, you will hear the air-horn again and that will be your cue to dissipate off the beach.
What's a flash mob?- A large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place to perform an unusual act for a brief time, then disperse.

FREE DANCE WORKSHOPS IN BRIGHTON!
We will film the first workshop and upload it onto our page so you can rehearse at home. Why not invite a bunch of mates over to learn the moves together and have a PRE-FLASH MOB PARTY!
THE FLASH MOB:
We’re doing the flash mob three times on Sat 7th August. The first is top secret and will be revealed on our page the day before. The second is on the grass by Hector's House and the King & Queen @ 1pm. The third is by the community stage in Preston Park @ 4.30pm.

My friend is coming back from working in the Peace Corp in the Middle East. Many of her friends are gone this week and so she isnt getting a big welcome back reception.
